Look at who can ride a bike!!

Home from Camp

Chelsea has moved up from clean-up crew at our church's camp - to a counselor. The last few years she has done clean up crew and was able to get community service hours for HS graduation. This year, she was old enough to be one of the counselors. She just came home after being away for the past week. We really missed her! Her and Ryan will both be heading to camp the week after next. Chels as a counselor...Ryan as a camper! Hmmmm....that should be interesting!

They made us get up at SEVEN every morning!!!!

Where's the nearest computer???

Gray Hair

Sorry I haven't posted lately. My packing and organizing have gone into full motion this last week! I have packing piles and lists all over. I don't want to save everything until the last minute as I will be working(at my paid job) right up until we leave.

So, as you will see in the pictures above...Ryan has been doing a lot of skateboarding lately. And all of you who know and love Ryan know that he does everything to the extreme. So, after seeing pictures like this(his friends take them) and with Chelsea just getting her driver's hair is needing colored a lot more frequently with all of the gray hair they are causing me. LOL!
One of the photos he is with Terry Kennedy....a very well known(celebrity) skater. Ryan said he is awesome and really, really nice. He was in the area recently to do a demo.

Thank-you, Jesus!!!
I know all of these adoption acronyms can be confusing if you have not adopted! The LOA is fairly new to the added step. It stands for Letter of Acceptance. The CCAA in China sends it out after they have reviewed your paperwork and you have to check "yes" that you accept the child and then sign it and send it back to China. The TA(travel approval) generally comes about a month later and then we can leave. Progress!!

Father's Day Prayer
Thank you, friend Jesus,
for my father who loves me,
for my grandfather who cares for me
and for God, my eternal father,

Chelsea is now a licensed driver! Look she comes!!! The Fresh Prince is one of my favorite shows and I watch the re-runs late at night when my late shift hours leave me wide awake into the early morning hours. Chelsea was sooo excited when she got her license and when I found this clip of Carlton...well it just fit perfectly!

Yard Work

When we bought our home about 6 years ago, the people who had owned it were avid gardeners. They had every square foot of our back yard covered with things they had planted. We ended up digging most of it out, but there is still lots to cut back. There is always a point in the spring/early summer that we feel defeated - that the yard is winning no matter how much time we spend in it. This was that week-end! We really enjoy our is very pretty- but more work than we have time for.

How should I wear Ry Ry's hat?

This way???

Or maybe this way??

How about this??

Ryan says...."none of the above!"

Dance Photos

Recital weekend is over! We are very proud of you, Chelsea! She had 4 dance numbers this year...Jazz, Theater, Lyrical, and Modern. Here are a couple of pictures of some of her costumes. As all dance Moms can not take any photos or video during the recitals or practices...this is against Dance Law! You have to purchase their DVD in order to see the recital.

Dance Recital Week

This is Chelsea's 13th. year of dancing! She is in 4 different shows this year. That means 4 stage rehearsals, 4 dress rehearsals and 4 recitals! Which means we are living at the Performance Centerevery day this week. Ella gets very bored as you will see below. I can't really bring her in the audience during the performances as she talks non-stop these days and tends to talk very loudly when we are in a quiet place. So, this is one of her activities she did today as we waited 4 hours for Chels.
