This beautiful gal is expecting any day now and we are anxiously awaiting one of her puppies. Look at her belly!!

We lost our Golden Retriever, Katie, a few months ago to cancer(her picture is on the sidebar). We were all heartbroken and it has been very strange not having a dog around the house. The first time there was silence after the doorbell rang, just felt so odd. Having to sweep up crumbs from the floor - another strange thing we had to adjust to....not having her by our sides all day and night...and so on.
So, we are ever so excited to add another Golden to our family! I am dreading all of the puppy work. I have nightmares about it now...the two little ones running from the puppy as the puppy is chasing them around the house and biting at their little bottoms. The 2 little ones yelling because puppy "stole" their toy. Oh, yes...chaos at it's best! But we are all looking forward to it (her)!

Ni Hao Kai Lan
Don't forget to tune into Nickolodeon this morning at 11 a.m. to catch the first airing of Ni Hao Kai Lan! We are oh, so excited about this show! Of course my Ella gets excited about most all TV shows. : )

Sophie's Surgery
>

Sophie's surgery for her eyes is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) at 7:45 a.m. We have all been sick around here...sharing the germs! Sophie was the first to get whatever this is...fever...cold symptoms. Whatever it is seems to linger and when you think it is gone-it comes back. Ella and I are the last to have it. I was ready to send Ella to her school this morning and then her fever came back last night as did mine!
Sophie seems fine except she still has a real "junkie" sounding cough.
The surgical center told me they will take her temp in the morning and listen to her breathing. If they hear congestion...the surgery will be postponed. I am mentally trying to prepare for this, but praying the surgery will take place. There was so much pre-surgery paperwork and appointments and such that it will be disappointing if we have to reschedule. Her eye "numbers" have to be exactly right for the surgery to happen and that can change whenever. So...here's praying all goes as planned!

How exciting, a new puppy. 5 years ago we got two puppies at once, its fun and a little crazy! I'm sorry about your dog that died of cancer. I know how you feel, because our beloved Zachary died 5 years ago and I still get choked up thinking about him.
I'll pray for a good outcome to the surgery whenever God decides the time is right!
