Welcome Home Sissy and Ryan!!

Ryan was away all week at camp and with Chelsea at college....Ella has been soooo missing her big brother and sister. She was beside herself with excitement when we told her Ryan was coming home from camp last night and Chelsea would be also coming home for the week-end!!

We belong to the local community pool which the girls love, but we only get the a couple of times a week. We have this cheap little plastic pool, which they actually have lots of fun in. You will notice Sophie's eyes squinting in most of the pictures.....she had her eyes dialated earlier in the day. We atre patching again with her as the eye that was surgically corrected for an inwardturn, has now developed an outward turn as well as a vertical misalignment....so the patching is back. We think she will most likely need another surgery to correct it, but the opth. wants to see what the patching will do. He is very conservative and I appreciate that.

Now, on to a completely different subject.....I am trying to lose some of the weight I gained in this past year and trying to really eat healthier altogether. I don't consider myself a bad eater...but I could be better. My question....whenever I go to the fish market I am kind of lost as to what types of fish to buy and how to cook it. I f anyone has any good recipes to share, I would love that!

Awww, I love the tender hugs between the big ones and Ella!!! So sweet : )

The girls look so cute in their little pool. I used to love mine when I was little, too.

I hope Sophie's eye heals and that she doesn't have to have another surgery.

As for fish, it is one of our favs at our house. I like to blacken Mahi-Mahi and salmon. I, too, like it with fresh squeezed lemon over a bed of rice. Yum!

I have this same question about fish. I will have to come back and check to see if you got any good recipes! Fish is so good for us, but I am always scared to buy it because I don't know how to cook it well!

I love the pictures of the girls in the pool- the Moose and Goose love to play in the water.
Our Ogre goes to Grandma's from Sunday night to Friday-for a summer program he is doing near her home- and the girls miss him during the week. It is easy to see how much she loves her big brother and sister.
As for the fish- my best advice- eat SUSHI- I prefer my fish raw. I did buy some of the steamer bags by Reynolds (I think thats who made them) and I put tilapia in the steamer bag with the seasoning (I just use seasoning salt) and steam it in the microwave. My other favorite is black n blue fish. Use blackening season- blacken the fish and then melt blue cheese on it. Thats my favorite- but I don't know how the blue cheese would be on the diet.
Good luck- I need to start the weight loss myself.

I forgot to say. I don't care for fish, but I try to eat it a few times a month cause it's good for you. We often get Talipia!

What sweet photos of Ella with her big sissy and big brother!!! The girls look like they are having fun in their pool. Our grocer bakes the fish for us in the seafood dept. while we shop. They have many seasonings to choose from. It sure makes it easy and keeps the fish smell out of the house. Salmon is our favorite. Add a salad and baked potato...yummy!

Oh, such sweet pics of Ella and her sister and brother! Our girls also have a blast in the little cheap pool. Hopefully Sophie's eye will heal with the patching!
As for fish - Brian is the fish cooker in our house and I know it includes lots of butter. So much for being healthy. :)

What sweet reunion pictures! I love the pics of the girls in their pool, too. At that age, those little plastic pools are the best! I'm a Tilapia girl myself, but I generally just sprinkle with Old Bay and a little Olive Oil and bake.

Those pictures with Chelsea and Ryan are really sweet. Ella's signs are wonderful. I love the people she drew.
Lauren and Paige's cardiologist streese the importance of fish in our diet.
I get a lot of my recipes/cooking tips at http://www.cookinglight.com.
I hope Sophie's eye responds well to the patching.
Have a wonderful week with Chelsea.

I love the little pictures that Ella drew for her brother and sister.
And the pool photos are darling. Poor little Sophia, I hope that her eyes will be corrected by the patch.
Regarding fish, I love salmon, it's my favorite and I like it grilled with a little olive oil and lemon.

I hear ya on the weight loss. I have two problems. 1) I LOVE to snack and 2) I hate to exercise. LOL

I love to see little Sophie giggling in the background behind Ella.

Sweet pics of the kids with their big brother and big sister. The pool looks fun!

GL with the weight loss. I need to drop about 10 or 12 lbs myself. I was hoping to swim it off but our bees have been bad. They finally appear to be looking for water elsewhere so I am hoping it stays that way so I can get in the pool!

Well, I'm all teared up at the pictures of Ella and Chelsea and Ryan! Enjoy every minute with them!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for David. Each day is a little better...Lily Mei misses him so much and when she asks where he "Da" is, it just breaks my heart. Only 8 more weeks! WHOO-HOO!

Darling pool pics. Hope Sophies eyes get better without surgery, that would be great.
My fish favs are: Petrole Sole (not dover, too mushy), red snapper and halibut. They are all really mild and not fishy tasting.

i have come across another family that has experienced RAD. I have been sobbign most of the evening as I have been thinking about requesting an older child. Currently I have the age range from 0-4. Most people I have heard from have had good stories....this ine just brought me back to thinking about you...and what I would do if I were in the situation.

I hope you had a good day and things are improving....

I love those pictures! Olivia drew pictures for Cameron when he was at camp, too!

We send Sarah back to college Monday, then Cameron goes the next Monday. I'm sad.

We eat salmon and tilapia and we grill them with blackened seasoning most of the time. Hubby likes salmon with teriyaki sauce.

I feel Sophie's pain! It's hard being outside when your eyes have been dilated!
